Danny Giambattista was diagnosed with Burkett lymphoma cancer January 2014, just one day after turning 21 years old. He underwent 6 rounds of aggressive chemo at 100 hours continually every 3 weeks. In June of 2014 he was told he was cancer free.
After taking a semester off from Radford University he went back that June and took summer classes and continued on. In May of 2016 he graduated from Radford and is now currently pursuing his degree in Sports Management.
Danny and I actually participated in the Battling Cancer Race just days after he had finished his last round of chemo in 2014. He was weak but was determined to do this. He finished the walk tired but excited.
